1. Update the system of your phone

You will often see an update notification kicking in, containing bug fixes and system improvements to speed up the overall android system. Some of these updates reduce the size of the apps or introduce improvements in the phone’s memory. It is always a good idea to install these updates and keep your device up to date.

Phone update:-

Go to Settings-> About Phone -> Software Update->Check New Updates

App update:-

Auto-update apps by enabling auto-update mode on Google Playstore

For manual update:-

Go to Google Playstore-> Open hamburger menu->My apps and games-> Check New Updates.

2. Restart/Reboot your phone

Did someone tell you to reboot your device? Well, that is because rebooting your phone really helps! It tends to clear all temporary files and closes all the apps which have stored cache data. It also flushes the RAM of your android. Here we are providing Some Android Tips for you.

Rebooting your phone is like giving your phone a new life. It prevents staggering of applications and boosts the performance of your phone. Brands like Honor and Xiaomi have provided the restart/ reboot option to avoid unnecessary bugs and ensure a smooth interface. 

3.Uninstall apps that you don’t need!

You certainly don’t want unnecessary apps to eat up your phone’s memory. So let go of those unused apps by uninstalling them as they might eat into system resources.

Brands offer plenty of space in devices, but RAM is always limited. You don’t want unused apps to run in the background and jam your RAM. This makes your android device sluggish and hard to use.

Go to Settings->Apps.

Go through the list and identify the apps you don’t need, and uninstall them. If you are still in doubt, check each app’s screen time and delete the ones with the least screen time.

4.Clean home screen

Consider keeping a static image as your wallpaper instead of live screens. In addition, ensure that your home screen has minimal widgets and clean away the unused icons. It shall facilitate better functioning and prevent screen freezes.

5.Clear cache data

Now, too much cache in your phone can make it run slowly. That’s because apps use cache data to load quickly, but these cache data build up over time, thereby taking up extra space in your android device. It can potentially slow down your phone.

However, there are going to be cache data of apps that might no longer be in use. Sometimes clearing cached data of these apps can reduce the bugs. You can also try removing all the active apps you have running on your phone – as that removes active cache as well.

To clear cache data of the desired app

Go to Settings-> Apps and all tabs>Tap on the relevant app to clear its cache data-> Tap on Clear Cache.

To clear entire cache data

Go to Settings-> Storage-> Tap on Cached Data-> OK

6. Reduce Animations

Heavy animations can slow down your phone and make it sluggish from time to time. You might have faced this situation, especially if you are a gamer. Consider turning off or reducing the animation level on your android.

You have to enable the Developer options to turn off or adjust Animations.

Go to Settings-> About Phone->Systems and look for Build number->Tap on it seven times, and you will receive a message that you are a Developer. Go back to check Developer options under Systems. Scroll down to find Animator Duration, Transition animation scale, and Window animation scale. And set it to 0.5x or off. Adjust the animations according to your personal preferences.

7. Factory Resetting Helps! 

This is probably the last step you want to take when nothing works out. It is a drastic step but often recommended to perform periodically if you want to increase the longevity of your phone. Make sure to back up important data and information before you reset your phone.

Go to Settings-> Backup and Reset-> Factory Data Reset.
